From the findings of the research work executed by New York-New York (NY/NY) Supportive Housing Initiative have surfaced the fact, that there was a sharp decline of health related and mental disorders among the homeless mass, with the implementation of supportive housing for such group of people.

The concept of development of supportive housing has exerted a great positive impact on the mental and physical health condition of the homeless adults. As there requires a routine mediation for the health diseases by which the homeless adults are affected, supportive housing thereby offers a provision of regular medical follow ups for the homeless adults. To conclude with it may be effectively stated that the establishment of supportive housing for providing shelter to the homeless adult population have play a significant role in delivery of acute health care services for the betterment of mental and physical health condition of the homeless adults.
